{June 30-July 4}
We had a wonderful holiday weekend, we enjoyed Park City and Oakley so much! Carson took Friday off of work so we started our little vacation on Thursday evening and stayed through Monday. Thursday when we headed out of town we left Payton home with Papa and Nana, we feel a little bare without him, but it is nice to be able to relax a little bit! We stayed in Park City our first two nights with the baseball team. I am sad that I didn't get any photos of how much fun the kids were having, but they were in the pool most of the time splashing like crazy! On Friday we drove down into Salt Lake for two baseball games. It was so hot, I was so thankful I didn't have to worry about how to keep little Roo cool! We struggled during the tournament, we got in a really hard pool. There was also some amazing plays that our team did, so we will hold on to those memories. After the games we went up to Park City and that is when we met up with my parents and Payton. I thought it was good for the boys to all get to hang out together and relax after a rough couple of games.
Marcus was able to pitch a little, he loved it, but it made me super nervous. He wants to be able to pitch so bad, but I just wish he could do as well as when he pitches to his dad at home. I was proud of him though!
Marcus did a great job hitting. During 4 games he got 1 triple, 3 doubles, and 2 singles. He really enjoys baseball, I love how he gets out there at tries hard. That is all I want him to do is "do his best"!
We got up on Saturday and had two more games in Park City. It was still a little warm, but Park City just seems to be a little bit cooler! We really seemed to struggle during both games, I can't wait until our abilities seem to be more consistent...
While the team was warming up Alec decided to climb the goal post. Yes that is right he climbed up the pole and then just rested up there for awhile!
I love this kid and his smile! His strength still seems to amaze all of us....
Payter was sure glad to have Papa and Nana up there with us and I was sure glad that they were there to help entertain him!
Coach Carson after Kristy and I through some water on him. We thought we would get him back after he got us so wet at the hotel. We really didn't get to much reaction from him, dang it!
All the boys wanted to get Coach Giles all wet after the game.
After all of our different tournaments that we were in this year it made these boys get to know each other outside of baseball practice and games. These boys are becoming good friends which will hopefully only help out our team each year!

After the second game our family and Papa and Nana went to Oakley to go stay with my Uncle Steve and Aunt Laureen and their family at their cabin. We love it up their so much!
All those rocks seem to be a huge hit up there, well with all the boys!
The next day Steve and Laureen took us over (I believe it was in Kamas, but I'm not sure) to see these beautiful waterfalls. The kids enjoyed hiking around, but the water level was so high this year so it was a little scary!
After Carson took the boys a little further up in the mountains, they hiked through some snow and then they saw a lake. I wish I wasn't wearing flip flops so I could have gone also.
I love this picture! These two can be the very best of friends at times, now it isn't all the time and we go through periods of times were it is rare, but for today and looking at this picture I choose to only remember the best of times!
We were so amazed at how much water was around Oakley. My Uncles cabin is away from water so he didn't have any problems, but we were shocked at how many roads were washed away and how close it was to some peoples cabin!
{Marcus took these pictures}
We had a wonderful vacation. It is always hard to come home and return to normal life. We always go through with drawls when Carson has to go back to work after long weekends like that!
I love spending time with my family and seeing my kids have so much peace and happiness in their lives. I also really enjoyed our ride home because this was my view, I'm one lucky gal!! That smile right there is what I feel in love with 16 years ago....
