We were at the boys' baseball practice when all of the sudden from a far I hear Olivia screaming while people are carrying her from the playground. My first thought was she has a broken bone or she is going to need stitches. I take off running and by the time I get to her I find out it is a bee bite right by her eye. I felt so bad for her. Some of the parents that were there with me gave her benadryl right away and then I took her home right away to put ice on it. The following picture is about 30 minutes after it happened. At this point I realized this was not going to be to pretty, but I didn't realize what was going to happen would happen...
By the next morning her eye was pretty shut and it had started to spread to the other side of her face.
Later on in the afternoon both eyes were almost swollen shut. It was crazy! We kept up on the allergy medicine, but I didn't ever take her to the doctor because she seemed fine other then being a little bugged with not seeing very well.
She spent the next couple of days camping with Nana and Papa, but even when she came home it was still pretty swollen. After the swelling went down she had bruised eyes. Olivia was afraid of bees before this happened, but after this little incident it magnified by 100%, which to be honest I don't blame her!
