I am a Human Pacifier!
So I thought I would post this as we get going this morning so this thought of frustration is still very fresh on my mind! So I will take you back five years with Marcus.... Marcus loved his Binky! He never wanted to get rid of it. Alec wasn't to sure about one, but through time of buying every type of Binky out there and convincing him that he would want one he started to love his. After one day of shopping and the Binky's falling and them crying when Carson and I would tell them to put them away (yes Marcus was 3 years and 4 months old and Alec was 20 months old) we decided we would have a party and go dig a hole in the snow and put them there, it turned out great. I realized they had them so long partly to make my life a little easier! And then Olivia was born.... From day one she was not sure at all about the sucking on a Binky. I wanted her to have one because when we were at church or something I wanted something to keep her a little quite, but she had different plans. So after a couple of weeks I came to the realization that she was only going to suck on those not so cute soothie Binky's, we actually went up to the hospital and bought a ton of them. But after a couple of weeks of that once again she had a different plan. By that time I realized what a good baby she was and she never really fussed and she was a good sleeper that I became okay with the idea. But now ten months later she is a horrible sleeper the last couple of weeks and the only thing she wants is me! So now we are on about day 12 with not much sleep wondering what am I doing wrong! Please help, any ideas about how I can get her to sleep and not want to have me be her human pacifier?!

I feel for you. As hard as pacifiers are to get rid of I am soooo glad they were invented. Both my babies have been binkie babies. It is a good thing to because Jarrett can't sleep without one. Goood luck!!!
Hey Courtney, love your blog, and what a beautiful little family!! I'm so happy for you guys. Caroline has been my first Paci baby, and yup, she is addicted the ugly blue hospital ones, which is the pitts cause there are so many cute ones to choose from! I wish that I had suggestions for you on the human paci predicament, I've basically written off sleep until the kids have all moved away! My four year old keeps us up all night, we keep thinking that it's 'just a stage' but it's been going on for like 2 years now and it's getting old...
Court, I am sorry to say I don't have any advice. Are you surprised? But I can congratulate you on the cutest blog site ever. Where did you go to make your cute Halloween themed blog? I looove the "trick or treat."
