Easter Weekend! (a little late)

As always Easter was wonderful! Don't you just love this time of year?! I really think I learned to appreciate Spring (and fall) after being a Nanny, the Winter is way to cold and the Summer is way to hot! So Carson spent the night Friday with all the guys doing who knows what and then Saturday went snowboarding, and Saturday night at the Jazz game. He had a wonderful time, but was and still is very exhausted and sore! He told me the soreness came pretty much after his nice try of doing a jump of a tree! I made sure to laugh at him and remind him he was 31!! But he had a good time, hanging out with friends which does not happen to ofter for him, so I am glad he enjoyed himself.
Friday my sister came up with her kids so we played and played! We decorated Easter eggs, ate lots of pizza, had a little Easter egg hunt in the dark with glow in the dark eggs, and then all the kids had a sleep over with my mom. Since my dad had neck surgery he slept upstairs, but around 11 Alec found his way upstairs with my dad. My mom told me at 5 am she woke up in a panic because she couldn't find him, so she went searching for him and found him snuggled right next to Papa.

Notice Marcus' tired eyes!

Saturday Jaime and I took the boys to the Easter egg hunt here in town, but as we got there five minutes early we noticed that everyone already was running out there to get the eggs. They usually start the Easter egg hunt with a siren, but this year someones car alarm went off and everyone started running and they couldn't stop them. So we just went and stood in the line for the treats and the kids were great with that! Last, on Saturday we spent the afternoon out to my Grandpa Rhodes (which Marcus calls him Grandpa with the farm!). We had a wonderful day!

Olivia and my cousin Regi

Sunday early Marcus came in and woke us up (like 4 am) to let us know that the Easter Bunny had brought us a picnic table and sandbox, so after getting him back to sleep we finally started our day at 8 am! The kids were very excited to see what the Easter bunny brought them. I don't really talk to them to much about the Easter bunny bringing them things because I don't want them to think that is what Easter is about, so I think they were very surprised. The Easter Bunny this year was very practical, he brought things that were needed anyway! Then the boys helped make Easter dinner, this was the first year I made Easter dinner-it was wonderful! I have never cooked a ham before! Then it was time to get ready for church. I thought in my mind, maybe I shouldn't but Olivia's dress on until we are walking out the door and then my next thought was no-she can't get it to dirty! Well I forgot about the candy so when the rest of us was getting ready she comes walking back in my bathroom with her face and hands covered in chocolate and little spots on her dress, I honestly about died! We tried to wipe it off, but it didn't come all off. It was just one of those things that it was out of my hands, so what do you do! I actually know, next year she will have to Easter dresses!

The Easter bunny brought us personalized donuts!

My cute bread bunny! (Don't worry it was easy took like 10 minutes to do!)

I forgot what a joy 16 months are taking their pictures! She is very stubborn, she will turn her head on purpose when I have the camera pointing at her!

It was truly such a wonderful day ( we had all fallen asleep by 7:30)! I love spending time with my little family, I am so blessed.

The joy of having 3 children under 5-it is very hard to have all of us at the same time saying "cheese"!
