Last week Alec and I had a fun day, we were able to go with his preschool class to the Police Station, Fire Station, and the Post Office. We had a great time, it was fun to be able to talk with the all the moms that came and it was wonderful watching Alec interact with his classmates.

Marcus last week for showing tell wanted to draw a race track so he could drive his cars on it. I love watching him draw, he has always been so good at it, but now he is starting to add so many more detailed items. Last week him and Alec enjoyed riding their bikes (finally the snow has melted enough for that) a lot and going over to play the Wii at my parents home. I am quite impressed with how well they are playing it. If you think about it the Wii was a great invention-you know so you could move around and no one could laugh at you for doing it. Because when Marucs plays games with the controllers or drives his remote control he moves his body so much, I think he thinks when he moves his body it makes the item move. He is very funny!

Olivia has done great since I have stopped nursing, probably the first week was hard off and on and after that she did great! She does pretty well sleeping on her bedroom floor, my friend gave me her toddler bed so I need to go pick that up so we can set it up for her. One night last week Marcus wanted to sleep with her, they had a great little sleep over! Olivia is still her funny little self, get bigger by the second. She has discovered that outside is WONDERFUL! She loves walking outside and seeing what there is to find. In the mornings when it is time to take Hudson out she will bring you her shoes because she wants to go so bad, so she gets very sad when she can't-it is still to cold for her. She loves to dance around with her brothers, it is quite funny!

The joy of children! You know even though there are the times when you just want to pull your hair out or be taken to the crazy house-children our wonderful! How lucky we are to be able to be mothers and wives.During this past week I have thought a lot about being parents and what it all means. I know daily Carson and I have a lot to learn, but we are trying to figure out what works best for our family. One thing I am so grateful for is the involvement Carson has with our kids. You know as stay at home moms it is easy to be involved with your kids, it is what we do. But for dads who go to work all day, come home very tired, it takes effort to be involved with their kids. So I am so grateful and feel extremely blessed that Carson is such a wonderful dad! I love to see him playing with the kids and talking with the kids to find out how their day was, what they did, who they played with, etc. I feel like all the things he does is helping shape our kids into who they will become, how they will interact with people as they get older, and how they will be as parents and spouses. It makes me so grateful to my parents for all of their involvement that they had in my life, my family was a very involved family with lots to say and to ask. At the time of growing up I am not sure that I realized how important tha was and how much I enjoyed it, but now being a parent and a wife I realized how much I loved it and how loved I always felt. Being a parent and a wife is truly a full time job. Put aside all of the errands, activities, house cleaning, cooking, support during a child's activities and think about the importance of being there for you family. It is something that has to be worked at all the time, so there is never a moment that your family does not feel important or loved. For all of the hard work Carson puts into our family I want to tell him how grateful I am for him and how much I love him for that! Wow, he is great!!!

I couldn't agree with you more! I feel like I took for granted how loving my family was (is)! I can't beleive how mean I was to my parents if Gracie was that way to me it would kill me! Shad is so good with my kids too, I love to watch how excited they get to see him! I loved reading your post! We are lucky...
I enjoyed reading that and I totally agree! Yea for dads who are there and care. I feel the same way about my own parents/family!
So true. I love that Jon is so involved with the kids. I laughed when I read that your kids have a love/hate relationship as well. That picture in Olivia's room was so darling. My mom told me that your enrichment was so fun and she loved that it got a little loud and rowdy.
Hey Courtney, I've never posted on your blog before but I love it. Corbin loves to see pictures of Marcus on the computer.
I have some questions to ask you (that I don't want to bother asking on your blog) so will you please email me?
Thanks!!
