We had a fun family home evening last night! Our opening song was "Do as I am Doing...", everyone including Olivia-it was so funny. Olivia enjoyed following everyone and then when it was her turn she enjoyed having everyone follow her. We talked about different scripture stories, it is getting fun the older the boys get because they get involved with the stories. Alec told us some crazy story about Nephi. Carson and I looked at each other and tried our hardest not to laugh. So for the closing song we usually always sing, "Book of Mormon Stories" (it is a favorite in our house). After singing it about 5 times at normal speed and double time Alec says, "I want to sing like a mouse." We said how does a mouse sing it, so he starts in on this high pitch so we all join in. Then Alec says, "I want to sing it like a robot." Once again we asked for an example and well you guessed it... it sounded just like a robot! Last but not least we wanted to sing like a Lion. Oh, Carson and I tried our hardest not to laugh to hard, but by the end the kids had everyone laughing (even Olivia!).
What a night to remember. Sometimes in our crazy lives it is those simple moments that make life so enjoyable!

What a fun family night! It sounds like you had a fun weekend too. We've been playing phone tag, I'll have to try and call you this afternoon.
How fun!!! Sounds like your FHE has personality.
I think those kind of things are what your kids remember the most, I always seem to remeber the little things my family did when I was growing up! I think those are the funnest things!
Courtney- I hope Alec is feeling better. I felt so bad that he got sick today! Give him a big hug for me. I had to laugh when I read your story about FHE. When we practice our nursery rhymes in preschool we sometimes read them with different voices (robot is their all time fav). I am so glad that Alec passed the tradition on to your family, and I wish I could have been a fly on the wall to see you all talking in "silly voices"! Great job, Alec!
Yeah, we have had the ROBOT around our house several times and I have to say, Ms. Nicole has taught them a pretty killer robot impression! Everytime she breaks into robot mode I think I am watching Small Wonder! (Ok that dates me!)
