Last week was a crazy Doctor week for my kids. Early Wednesday morning we headed over to Logan because the boys had their six month dentist check up. Good news, their teeth look great! I told my sister that it is our turn to not have extra medical bills (like dealing with bad teeth) because later we will be dealing with it-Marcus' teeth our to tight in his mouth and then when Alec is 18 he will have to get his two teeth that are missing their permanet teeth fixed. The next appointment in six months is for all of my children, can you believe Olivia will be old enough to go to the dentist!
After their appointments we headed down to Salt Lake so we could stay with my sisters family. We had such a wonderful time! We meet her at Ikea with her two little ones, the boys had a great time playing in their playland. Then my sister was nice enough to let me go do a little shopping, yea for me! After that Jaime and I just hung out while the kids ran around, they had such a wonderful time. It was even nice because the two girls went downstairs to play with the boys as well. It is fun to see the girls get older, each time they see each other they play a little bit better with each other. Marcus and Alec were even lucky enough to go see Austin's soccer practice, which they loved doing!
Thursday morning me and the kids got up so we could go to Primary Childrens because they boys both had their Dr. appointments with thier orthopedic doctor. Marcus had is annual checkup on his tibia (sp?) bone, which is doing what it is supposed to be doing, hurray! So he has to go back in two years so we will pray that it will finish turning how it is supposed to on its own so we will not have to do any surgeries. This was Alec's first time going, but the poor kid gets the worst leg aches, so we wanted to get that checked. His tibia bone turns out as well, but on top of it he has flat feet which causes his leg aches. The Doctor said that since his feet are growing so much right now that the best thing for him is finding shoes that have a lift inside and then get him insoles and then when he gets older until he gets an arch in his foot he will have a insole made just for his foot. So if we continue to have problems we have to take him back in a year and if not then he can come back in two as well. Overall the news was great! After we got done we went and had lunch in the cafateria. I was quickley reminded that I am not Super women and that pushing one child in a stroller, holding a tray, having to keep showing Alec how to hold his tray so his food wouldn't spill, and making sure I got all the requests of food that they wanted is not an easy task for one person! But they were great kids, so it worked out! While we were eating Uncle Jayson was able to take a brake from work and come visit for a bit. Oh did I mention what food choices Alec wanted? He wanted cheese chips (nachos), soup, and a pickle (not just a little pickle, but a giant pickle!).
After that we headed to buy Alec new shoes, but Marcus just didn't think it was cool that he didn't get any, so he too got new shoes! I did tell Marcus he had to wear socks because I didn't want his shoes to get stinky, so he let me know that his shoes that use to be his "school" shoes he could wear without socks because he needs to start working on them so he can enter them in the "stinky shoe" contest! Honeslty, where did my children come from!
