January Memorable Moments 2009

Family

*I have been sick for one week now, Moms should never get sick! I am continuing to work as much as I can on the weekends. Carson is studying for two part time jobs on top of his full time job. We have really enjoyed reading the Book Of Mormon this year. We are reading the kid friendly one with the pictures and the kids love it! They honestly get so excited to read it. Once we are done with that one we will start on the real one. So far 2009 is doing our family fine!!!!!*Marcus and Alec have loved being able to go over and play with Aunt Molly the last couple of days. They have enjoyed watching Iron Man with her, baking brownies, and just hanging out. I think they have enjoyed having her home!
*Tonight before Carson and I went to bed we were talking about how big Olivia is getting, that she is not a baby anymore. We both are amazed at how big she is getting and everything she does and talks about.
*We were able to use our skookie pans for the first time, the kids thought it was lots of fun and really enjoyed eating them after. We also wanted some popcorn, but didn't have any of the microwave kind, so we used a popcorn popper. The kids had never seen one before, it was so fun watching the faces as they saw the kernels become popcorn.

*The boys have such different personalities, it is quite funny to watch them. Marcus isn't afraid to meet new people and find new friends, but does not like to stand up in front of people to talk. Alec is a little bit more shy when it comes to meeting new friends, but once he feels comfortable he is no longer scared, but he doesn't get shy to stand up in front of people. Marcus is very scared of the dark and Alec knows that somewhere there is a light switch so he just needs to walk in the dark until he can find a light. This morning Marcus woke up, yes all 5 of us in the same bed, when it was still dark. Carson told him to go out and watch TV before he woke anyone up. Well he could tell it was dark, so he walked over on my side of the bed woke up Alec so he could go out in the dark with him. Honestly these two boys are so funny. Yes they can fight so badly that I often wonder if they will love each other and then there are times that they are so close and helpful to one another. How grateful I am for two little boys, I just hope there different personalities will continue to help them be there to comfort each other in the areas that scares them in life!

Marcus
*Marcus has really enjoyed going back to school, he is not ever wanting to get sick again because he doesn't want to miss school again!
*During the last couple of weeks Marcus has turned into such a pleasant happy little guy, it is the boy I remember. I am telling you the age 5 was a rough one on him and me! He seems to be more sensitive to our feelings and to his own. He laughs more and speaks so much nicer.
*He has really missed his friend Kendra and asks often when she will be coming back.
*When we told the kids Carson was going to give our House a blessing. Marcus responded with, "what is he going to do-get on the rough and place his hands on it!"
*Marcus has suggested that with our next child we name it Romeo!

Alec

*Alec is continuing with his easy going personality. I don't want to jinx anything, but the stubbornness may be calming down!
*Alec seems to be catching on to more school things. Either he has know it all a long, but was to stubborn to answer the right thing or he finally gets it.
*When talking about the computer Alec will say, "pomputer"
*When Carson was telling the story about Joseph Smith being Tarred and Feathered Alec responded, "I know how they could have got that off of him-with coffee!" We all stoped looked at each other and then him and chuckled. First of all he doesn't have a clue what coffee is or what it does!!!
*Tonight before going to be we were talking about Carson and Marcus getting up to go to "Dad's and Donuts". Alec was telling us how he would like to go as well. He said I have an idea, if I don't wake up I won't go, if I do wake up I do go! Great idea Alec...
*Alec has suggested that when we have our next baby if it is a boy we should name him Ben and a girl we should name her Flower!

Olivia
*She only calls the boys by Bubba half of the time, but she has started to say their name "Martus" and "Aldik"
*Olivia pretty much tries to say everything and anything-in sentences and all!
*When Carson asked her if she throw up today her reply, "Yes, ice tream"!
*She calls Hudson "Huts" more then she calls him "Da"
*She is always wanting to hide things so no one, but herself can find it. And for the most part surprisingly she finds it!
*She has now been potty trained for 2 months and has only had 4 accidents!
*Olivia loves playing with play dough. She could sit there and play with it forever.
*Olivia has had a stomach bug for about 5 days, which is no fun. She crys a lot about her "tummy hurts". She is also not to sure about going "#2" right now, so I think half of the problem is she is holding it in. She sure loves her mom to "hold me"!
*While watching Carson shave tonight with a little blood on his face Olivia walked into the bathroom and said, "Gross dad!"
*Tonight she smelled some lotion and said, "Mmm, that smells dood"
*As she was walking in the kitchen she grabbed Alec's hand, she looked up at him and said, "Bubba, come play me's room!"
*Olivia was able to come to dinner at my work with my parents, Molly, and Abbi. She was so funny. As I was asking them what they wanted to drink my Mom said that she brought the girls a sippy. Well Olivia looked at me and said, "mom, me sprite!" She was so funny at dinner, every time I would walk past or could see her from a distance she would say really loud, "hi mom!"
*"Pesdent Omama!"
