What a wonderful day it was, celebrating our Big Daddy's Day! Since the day before my sister and her family were in town and we had Father's Day dinner at my parents house we were able to stay home and enjoy our little family the whole day (I think that is Carson and I's favorite part about holiday's, staying home!!!).It started off with me and the kids waking up and fixing Carson breakfast in bed. Then after going to Church Carson and I made a wonderful dinner. He cooked steaks and I got everything else ready. He honestly was in Heaven and so were the boys eating all the shrimp that they possibly could! After our Sunday afternoon nap, the kids and I made chocolate chip cookies for Carson (not that I make them as good as my sister, but I try!). After Carson ate about 8 hot cookies we headed over to my parents for a minute. It was a day that we really didn't do much, but we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves.
How grateful we are for everything Carson does for us. He works so hard and then comes home and works so hard at playing with the kids! The kids and I seem to have at least one thing a day that we tease him about, the kids really enjoy a good laugh at their dad's expense. I think it is fair to say that his age is catching up with him and that between Marcus and Alec they can officially take their dad down, yes it is true they can when a wrestle match against their dad.
I feel so blessed that my children have a dad that is so involved with their lives. I feel blessed to have a husband that will except all of my crazy ideas and plans and go with it!
We love you Big Daddy!!!
