14 weeks + 1 day {99 days}

It is true, Carson has been gone for 14 weeks and 1 day or 99 days! I can hardly believe it. This adventure has been such an up and down roller coaster, at the moment it is as up as it can be living this far away from each other.
I think it is safe to say that all parties involved has learned a lot about themselves. We get to talk to Carson daily, most often 3-10 times a day! We also have been able to Skype with Carson a few times as well. Carson starts his days most often at noon with a meeting and shortly after they are off to sell and then gets home between 10 and 12:30 am! He has met many new people and has got to know people better that he knew of! I am sure all these guys make bonds with one another that will never be broken. They experience very hard days together as well as very good days together! Carson lives with 3 other guys. I think as much as he enjoys sleeping through the night without being interrupted by little children it is very safe to say he is anxious and excited to live with his wife and kids again soon! Carson works 6 days a week, so he has really no time for "fun". The Church he goes to is in the same parking lot as the Louisville Temple. His Sunday School up until a couple of weeks ago was President Hinckley's grandson. He really enjoyed his lessons! He has been able to go to some fun places to eat because of winning certain contests with his team. One being Ruth Chris, he was able to eat yummy, fancy food! One fun thing they did was diving for gold dollars. His managers were given $2000.00 to do something for their team. So they went to the bank and got 2000 golden dollars. One Sunday night they had a BBQ dinner for them and then they throw these 2000 golden dollars in the pool and then all the sales reps dove in the pool for the dollars. Carson won $85.00! People often ask me if he is enjoying Kentucky and I tell them I don't know if he has time to! I don't know if sweating and walking all day allows you to enjoy something too much!
Carson is talked about often at our home. We are either talking about things that happened with him before he left or we are talking about what we miss about him or we talk about what we look forward doing when he gets home! We show Payton pictures of him often and we are trying to teach him to say DaDa, so he is already to go by the time Carson gets home! I am very impressed with the strength the kids have shown through this not so ideal situation. We have had a few complete emotional breakdowns, but overall they are doing well. They also have done really well at picking up the slack when needed! The boys are really good at doing more then normal at helping with the younger two. When we go out in public the boys know they always have a job to make sure Olivia and the "stuff" we are taking gets to our destination safely. I am often impressed with how many times I have been able to go out to dinner or swimming or shopping with all four kids by myself. I am just a proud Mommy at this time knowing that my children's lives have been turned upside down, but they are standing tall and shining with many bright colors! We have be apart through 2 birthdays, 3 holidays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Baseball Season, T-Ball Season, Swimming Lessons, Dance Competitions and Review, Gymnastics, and all the health problems my Dad has gone through! I pray that a job comes available before next April, I am not sure we could do this again!
I am thankful for the blessing that we have received to help us make it through this hard time. I often wonder how on earth we have done it, and then I realize it is blessings and extra strength that Heavenly Father has given to us! Saturdays seem to be extra hard for me and Sundays seem hard for Carson. There are moments I get really emotional about his whole situation and I find myself not wanting to fall asleep at night! There are many nights I find myself waking up at 2 in the morning with the TV still on! I miss him dearly and I can't wait for him to come home! I am also proud of him for doing whatever it takes to provide for us. He has missed so much on little Payton and the rest of our lives, but he is working hard to provide for our needs! We love you Big Daddy and we can't wait to give you lots of hugs and kisses! LUM....
