Alec Mason is {6}!

It blows my mind that my second born is already 6! Time goes by way too fast.... How lucky we are to have this little guy in our family! He has a personality like no one else. He is so sweet, imaginative, tenderhearted, innocent, super heroish, and stubborn!!! All within a 10 minute period we can see all of those characteristics in his little personality.



He is still loving every part of Super Hero's, he likes to be them, play them, and watch them. He enjoys playing sports, his most favorite is Soccer. He loves, I mean loves to climb trees. He enjoys doing gymnastics around the house, he spends close to half of his life on his head! He has so much upper body strength that it blows me away. The way he climbs up things makes us chuckle in disbelief at his strength!



He has a wonderful laugh and a darling smile, both of which makes him quite contagious to be around! He loves to hold Payton and he is very patient and loving to Olivia (most of the time!). He enjoys playing with Marcus, but they both can quickly become members of World War III. He has handled his Dad being gone lots better then I thought he would, you know he misses him so much, but he just doesn't ask too many questions about the whole situation. In some ways I think it is good and in others I feel like he has shut down.



I love having him as my son, he is my little Alec Mason who I love dearly. I love watching him grow and learn new things. I wouldn't mind if the next 6 years could go by just a little slower!


The weekend before his birthday his cousins were in town so after Marcus' baseball games we headed over to good old Chuckie Cheese. The kids had so much fun!

We were so thankful our cousins were able to help Alec make fun memories for his birthday!

On his birthday we thought it was a special treat to be able to Skype with Carson in the morning. Alec was thrilled to be able to open his presents while he was talking with Carson on the computer.

Later that day we went to the swimming pool with some friends. We had a wonderful time swimming. We really enjoyed taking Payton for the first time!

He was sleeping and then I peaked in on him and this is what I saw, pretty blue eyes!

That night we went over to my parents house to have a little party for him, Uncle Ry even came over! I decided this year since he has been so into climbing trees that we would have this cake made for him!

Thanks everyone who helped make our little guys day so special! I wanted to make sure that it was extra special so that he would not be too sad that his dad wasn't there. I think it is safe to say that it was a success!
