8lb 8oz.
21 inches long
Yesterday just before we were walking out the door to go to Carson's parents house for Father's Day dinner I noticed that we had a couple of messages, well one of them was Lani telling us that Nicole was having contractions so they were headed down to the hospital and on the way her water broke so they were keeping her. So we headed down to the hospital, had our Father's Day dinner in the Cafeteria and waited for her arrival! My little family, Rodger and Lani, and Nicole's mom Debbie and sister Megan waited anxiously in a waiting area for the news it seemed we would get closer and closer to the room as the wait went on. As we saw nurses coming and going in the room my boys would go and put their ear to the door to see if there was any cry, Olivia caught on and would follow right along with her brothers! Around 7:30 we saw the nurses willing her out with Nicklaus following, so shortly after we all made it to the nursery to meet this new baby girl. When she was born she didn't cry and was having some struggles so poor Nicole didn't get to see too much of her right away because when we went to the nursery they had a tube in her mouth pumping air into it, shortly after that she was good to go!The bad thing is my camera battery died 3 miles before we got to the hospital, Rodger and Lani's camera died right before she was born, so we only had Nicole's moms camera! She was 8lb 8oz and 21 inches long. We weren't able to hold her because they were monitoring her for awhile and after four hours of being at the hospital and two hours after Olivia's bedtime the kids where ready to go. It has been along time since we have been on the other side of the nursery, so yes it did make me a little baby hungry, but I think I will enjoy my baby a little longer before we go for #4!
Congratulations Nicklaus and Nicole! We can't wait to hold her and give her lots of kisses!
