Craving Pumpkins....

Well this didn't go exactly as planned, but does anything ever go exactly as planned?! The day before Halloween was the first day that we were all feeling pretty well, but then life it self seems a little bit more behind because you haven't been doing anything so you are behind on everything else. So when it came down to carving pumpkins it was something that we just hurried and did! The kids enjoyed themselves, so I guess that is all that matters. Olivia was not to sure about cleaning out the "pumpkin guts", but she gave it a good try after watching her brothers do it. What Carson and I let the boys do is draw a picture on the pumpkin of how they want the face to be done and then Carson and I cut it out. Maybe next year we need to be more creative and have a template, we could be funny like Aunt Jaime and do a John McCain pumpkin!

This is our porch, I think it turned out really well! Funny story, so I completely forgot about getting candles to put in the pumpkins, so I went to my next best thing and found 3 candles that I wasn't using right now. The funny thing was they were smelly candles and my porch smelled so so good! Now I need to figure out how to make my porch smell like that all of the time. It just so happened to have a fall scent to it!
