Halloween 2008

Halloween was a great day! I always love a holiday, I try my hardest to do things for my kids that they will always remember. Sometimes (okay most of the time) it stresses me out because I try to do too many things, but on Halloween I didn't feel to stressed out and I think I did everything that I wanted to do.

Lunch.... "Hand" sandwiches

.............................................

I painted Olivia's fingernails and then put her in her highchair with a sucker so they could dry before to long she was out cold. I guess it is hard getting pretty!

We then got the kids all dressed up and started on our Trick or Treating night. We went out to my Grandpa Rhodes' house first, man he always has great treats for the kids. My Aunt Karla had to work so he handed out her treats as well. We then went and saw my Aunt Karla at work and then headed over to my work were we got free scones! Once we got back home Carson took the kids out while I got all of the dinner ready. They didn't make it to far before Marcus was tired of wearing his Mummy costume. Carson said he couldn't walk up the stairs very well or run with the other kids. So #2 costume was The Hulk (good thing we have lots of back ups!). They went out for a little bit longer, but they still didn't make it all around the neighborhood because I don't think they were feeling their very best after having the week we had. Carson said it was Marcus who was done, but I guess they thought they did plenty so why push have more sugar, RIGHT?

The Kids with Grandpa Rhodes

Olivia loves {and I mean LOVES} sugar, so she just thought it was great. She actually wanted to eat it as she went. I honestly can't believe how much she loves candy. The ironic thing is Marcus doesn't really care for sugar that much and I was the most un-heathly eater with him and as I had each child they seem to like sugar more and I ate better each child. Strange, but back to Halloween night....

After the kids got home they enjoy passing out candy, all 3 of them would have to run to the door. They also enjoyed eating all of our yummy food.

Dinner.....{Chicken Sandwiches, Potatoe Soup, Pumpkin Juice (really orange koolaid), Witches Brew, Spider Bread with Veggies, and Mini Carmel Apples}

We must not forget about Hudson, he was a dragon again this year. He was so funny, every time the doorbell would ring he would run to the front door and sit down so I would pick him up so he could look at all of the kids! Olivia loves her "da", poor Hudson either is laying right by her or running and hiding from her. Halloween nights preference was sitting by her!

This picture was taken after Carson was teasing Marcus because he was twitterpated by some of the girls that would stop by (older girls of course!), it was so funny!

We also enjoyed watching a Halloween Movie on one of the Disney Channels. I loved having Halloween on a weekend, no rush on going to bed. We really had such a nice evening, very relaxing which I like best! I love to make traditions with my little family, I honestly love spending time with them. It is just my hope they remember these special days with Carson and I.

Wow Courtney, you're making me feel so lame right now... my kids practically had to drag me out the door to go trick-or-treating! Their costumes are adorable.
