A History Making Day....

{November 4, 2008}

Regardless of what my views are politically and who I wanted to win President of the United States, history was made. As I sat and watched Obama make his acceptance speech I had a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, but I also realized what a big deal today was. Also it is weird to think that I am 28 years old and this is only the 3 Presidential Election that I have been able to vote on, so regardless who won, so I hope my kids will remember this day because it is not everyday that we get a new President of the United States.

On a very funny side note the other day Alec heard a John McCain commercial and he asked me if he was losing. Here was our conversation...

Me: We won't know until tomorrow who wins.

Alec: Well is he losing?

Me: I just said we won't know until tomorrow

Alec: Well is he going to lose because he is lame?

Me: Lame? Why do you think he is lame?

Alec: Have you seen his hair?!!!!

That is hilarious!!! My daughter thought he lost because he was an old grandpa. I think it's funny to listen to these little kids oppinions.

Ok, funny you write about history in the making, I had the EXACT same feeling. I felt sick that this man with no morals and won't even put his hand over his heart would be running our country, but awed that I witnessed history in the making. Glad you shared.

Isn't it funny how kids pay attention to things without you knowing?

Unfortunatly, I think Alec has the same way of voting as alot of Americans these days. Wow, he's not cool, guess I'll vote for the cool guy. Never mind the issues. Oh well, careful what you wish for you just might get it.

The other day Taylor was in watching tv and suuppost to be napping, but he came out in the front room and told Trevor his dad that "Your work clock dad told me it's time to get up" so thats why he was not napping. Aren't kids Hilarious?
