I look at this picture and am amazed at how fast the past nine years of our lives have gone. How did this happen? I went from meeting him to this in a blink of an eye! This child of mine is such a great kid to be around, but he for sure gives me a run for my money. We are so lucky to have him in our family!
Marcus loves the color purple. He loves to eat steak and shrimp. He isn't loving chicken in any way. He loves to play all sports and watch all sports, his dad is in heaven having his boys sit and watch sports with him. He enjoys doing anything outside, he is still able to be outside all day, everyday, rain or shine! He loves to tell me one minute when asked to do anything!!! He has gotten into enjoying helping me cook and grill. At times this lovely child is a serious pain in my fanny, but we love him dearly and wouldn't trade him for anything!!
I'm not sure how I feel about having my kids have to go to school on their birthday. I don't even feel like I get to see them. Next year we might just have to play rookie on birthdays! After school he had his usually baseball practice so there wasn't much of a celebration on his actual day. He wanted Fried Rice for his dinner, so that was our meal for the night.
This was the year for his friends birthday party. He wanted to have friends come over and play a football game. It doesn't get much easier then that! We had food that they serve at stadiums, played football, opened presents, and had football cupcakes (made by Nana). Super easy and the birthday boy was super pleased!
Trying to get a picture of a bunch of nine year olds is no easy task.
Take 1...
Take 2...
Take 3, this will have to do!
~This is Payton the night of Marcus' birthday~
