Marcus is 5....

So today is the big day, my little guy is 5! I asked Marcus this morning, "So bubba do you really feel like you are 5?" He said, "I actually feel like I am 7!" He is such a funny little boy.

I can hardly believe it was five years ago that I was begging the hospital to let me get started (I was four days late and had been calling for two days to get on the waiting list to get started) and now the last five years have flown bye and he is a big five year old boy.

Carson and I are so grateful for the huge blessing Marcus is in our lives. He is such a good, protective big brother to Alec and Olivia. He also likes to beat up on Alec, but we are looking at all the positive things today! Carson and I have enjoyed thinking back to when we had him. We had a little scare with Marcus, he had the cord wrapped around his neck and when he came out they had to work on him for a minute. We were going to name him Harrison Joseph and after he was born and they were working on him Carson and I had the neatest feeling that his name should be Marcus Carson. He is truly a little Marcus, I can't imagine him any other way. I remember he was born on a Friday which was General Conference weekend. Carson and I enjoyed sitting on the bed as a new little family watching Conference. It is quite funny but as Fall comes around every year there are a couple of smells and feelings that I can never forget. 1-salsa, 2-the smell and the feel of the nice, crisp, cool fall day while we took our new little baby home!

Marcus has had a rough start with health-tubes, tonsils are out, rsv, croup, etc. So my wish for him is good health, happiness, the desire to want to be a good example to others, a nice clean mind to learn the things he needs to learn for school as well as the Gospel, and last I wish that he will always know he is loved so much and that he has two parents that are always here for him! Happy Birthday Marcus!! We love you way to much!!!!!!!!!!
