A Visit To Grandma Carlson's House...

{October 16-17}
Two weeks in a row Marcus had Thursday and Friday off, so the second week I decided to take the kids down to my Grandma Carlson's house to have a sleep over. All summer Alec wanted to sleep over at her house, so we finally found time to do so. Alec was born on my Grandma's birthday so when ever we see her she always say, "oh look there is my birthday present!" I think Alec really likes hearing her say that. On Thursday Marcus went to work with his dad and then met us in Bountiful when Carson was done with his route. We had a good time, we first went and walked around Costco and then we pretty much just hung out at her house.

One of the highlights of the trip was riding in my Grandpa's old Hudson car. When he died my Uncle Steve restored the inside and outside of it, so we can now enjoy rides in it. Of course Marcus thought it was the neatest thing ever and I am pretty sure that the other two enjoyed it as well. There was so many interesting things to it...no seat belts, no blinkers, only am radio, where the heater was, oh I think the list could go on and on. While we were on our ride we also stopped by my Uncle Steve's house to see his family. The kids had so much fun playing in their backyard and checking out all of Nick's cool gadgets. Oh they also enjoyed all of their cool Halloween decorations! Steve and Laureen as long as I could remember has the coolest things for Halloween. Before they had kids I was staying with them around Halloween time, they had this great idea that we could drive by the crematorium and go ring the door bell and run. Well once we got there and the cops were there arresting other kids doing that same thing we decided it would not be the best idea! I honestly have the best memories staying there so I am glad that my kids could make some memories there as well.

Olivia was a little mess while driving in the Hudson. She thought it was great, no car seat and no seat belt!

Another highlight of the trip was Marcus mowing my Grandma's lawn. She has this old fashioned lawn mower and he is obsessed with mowing my Grandma's lawn every time we are there.

Well it was a fast trip, but a much need break from our every day routine. Thanks Grandma!

What a fun night away! It was pretty nice having Thur and Fri off two weeks in a row. We were for some reason "so bored" at our house. Crazy kids!
Are you ready for Halloween?!
