I am in a little state of shock that my first born is 8 years old! Where has the time gone? There are so many things that I remember from when he was born and in the hospital and those first few weeks of his life and now he is 8! Like most mothers, I am very proud of everything that the is and what he has accomplished this far in life. I love that he has so many leader attributes. His teachers always comment on how people like to be around him and that he enjoys playing with everyone. Now also with his personality I can see how he could switch in a hurry and be a follower, so we are always talking with him on how important it is to be a leader. I love his nurturing side, there is a reason he is the oldest! Things are not always roses with him because he can be overly emotional when things are not quite going his way. But despite all the downs, we love him dearly and we are so grateful he is ours!!!!
Marcus decided that we should make a tradition for birthdays. He wants the birthday kid to be able to have breakfast in bed. Carson and I thought it would be a great idea, so that is what he got, bacon and eggs!

After school he was able to open his presents from us. He got a CTR ring, tie pin, clothes, a real army backpack, basketball door thing, and a scooter. He loved it!
We also enjoyed a dinner at Texas Roadhouse. He loved getting sung too!
After dinner we went on a walk around the Logan Golf course. It was fun, the kids loved running around, going on an adventure!

The day after his birthday Nana and Papa took him to open a savings account and then he went to dinner with Nana, Papa, Uncle Ryan, and Aunt Molly. Obviously he loved the one on one attention! After dinner they took him to Walmart so he could pick out his birthday present from Ryan and Molly. He came home with a flashlight and a hunting cameo hat that has two very bright lights that he can turn on and off.
He has such a close relationship with them, he had the time of his life!
