Our Last Week In Review...

Marcus had a wonderful week at school, he is counting down the days for when he is the helper again. He really enjoys reading and looks forward to going to school to get new words and more books. We signed him up for soccer, he is very excited! Both Marcus and Alec walk behind Olivia pretending to cry so they can get lots of hugs and kisses from her, very funny!
This picture can pretty much sum up Alec! Last Sunday he gave his first prayer in Primary in front of all of the big kids. He did very well, he is a lot more brave then his big brother was at his age! Alec also really enjoys going to school. Right now he is enjoying driving me crazy with not remembering what shape a square is. He is doing really well at writing his A and l. I am struggling with what is the best way to help him because he is left handed (we think). Maybe I am way over thinking it, but I want him to have an easy time of doing it. All I know is that I am glad that he only has 4 letter in his name. I remember my mom telling me that when it came time to teaching me how to write my name she wished my name wasn't so long. So in the back of my mind I have always thought about that when naming my kids.

We put Olivia's hair in pig tails, aren't they cute?! She looks so big! She has gotten even a bigger personality, she is truly such a funny girl. We enjoy just sitting back watching her little body language movements, oh and boy does she have a lot of stories to tell all of the time!

Probably one of the biggest things this week that has happened is that I finally stopped nursing Olivia. I know I know it is about time, but I felt like that was her only comfort. She didn't like bottles or binkies. As of today she is doing pretty well. The first couple of days (this is day 4) she was pretty upset, but I think it is going well. I even decided that somehow I have got to get her to sleep in her bed. I know I know once agian, but.... 1)I have probably babied her the most because of all of her health problems (I didn't ever want her to stop breathing and not know it) and 2) ever since we went to Park City she has hated her crib! The site of it makes her freak out!! Marcus was this age when he hated his crib, it is almost like they are afraid of it and so we put him in a toddler bed. I am trying to not jump to something like that with Olivia to soon, so tonight I made a bed on the floor in her room and that is where she is sleeping now; if she does well then in a couple of weeks I will buy her a bed. Now that I have told all my crazy disfunctional secrets wish us luck!

My cute brother Ryan turned 24 this week as well. Oh we love Ryan, he is such a great brother, brother in-law, and Uncle! We had a party for him, so when I get pictures from my moms camera I will have to post some cute pictures of the cousins, they are so cute!

Last but not least my kids' favorite activity this week was playing dress up, so we did a lot of putting on costumes and taking them off. Even Olivia enjoyed wearing her dress up outfits with her brothers!

I am glad Olivia is okay, that is always so scary! I remember when Gracie fell off a porche right onto the cement face first! Her face swelled up and I felt awful! We were at a family party and she was running with the kids, it happened so fast! We signed Gracie up for soccor too, maybe we'll c/ya sometime! take care!

i thought kids were suppose to take over our beds? I agree it's nice to have them sleep with us that way we know when they make every little noise. (and being kicked is fun too)
your kids are all so cute

I love that you commented on my blog! I have actually run into your blog before but was too stupid to know how to comment - so sorry! Your kids are SO cute! I love seeing pics of them and hearing all your fun adventures! Also, being a Kindergarten teacher I have to tell you, don't stress over Alec's name right now. He's ONLY three and a half. Just let him keep trying, but don't force it with him. If his fine motor skills haven't developed enough by the middle of Kindergarten for it to be easier for him to do it, THEN you can panick! I still have kids at this point in the year that struggle with thier fine motor skills. Anwyay, I just wanted you to know from a "professional" point of view, that it's really great that he's only three and half and can write his A and L! And yes, he will thank you- later on - that he only has 4 letters in his name!
Take care and keep in touch!
