Christmas 2007 Alec got a bike for Christmas. That following Spring, Summer, and Fall he really didn't have any desire to ride his bike. I don't think he really liked how his training wheels made him feel that he was always leaning to one side. Throughout the season we even bought new training wheels, but he preferred to run. When I say run I mean he ran everywhere fast! All the parents in the neighborhood couldn't believe how fast he could run, he would keep up with all of the kids that were riding his bike. Well a couple of weeks ago we got out his bike and we had him start riding it. This time you could tell he had lots more confidence. He got so good at it that he wasn't really using the training wheels. In fact the black rubber wheels on his training wheels both came off from ridding it so much and so fast.
On Sunday the 17 we consider it a big mile stone for Alec, he no longer has training wheels! We are so proud of our Alec Mason. Carson and I and the parents in the neighborhood have to admit it is a little sad to not see him running everywhere now, but it is exciting to see what a huge step he has made in life! Good job Alec!!!
